There were two speakers: Jolene of Beauty Is Wellness and Leena of MySkin. They discussed various foods that are amazing for your body, skin, and health. Stress busting foods include dark chocolate, oatmeal, chamomile tea, and oranges. Beige foods are ones to avoid. Jolene mentioned a great daily detox, which I definitely am going to try - warm lemon water. It's a great way to get rid of the toxins from your body of the food you ate the night before or what you ate earlier in the day. Another tip I learned was that any food with bioton, like swiss chard, is great for your hair!
Below are the amazing goodies: nail polish from Priti NYC, natural lip tint from Tarte, soy nail polish remover from Priti NYC, coconut lip balm from Zen Society, mineral blush from Zosimos Botanicals, some samples from Arbonne, and sugar scrub & shampoo bar from Senica.
P.S. Head over to the Project Runway blog -- I'll be guest posting my review/recap of last week's episode!

hmm interesting, I always get water with lemon at restaurants so subconsciously I have been detoxing my body... sweet!! hahaha
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! I'd love to attend something like that, I know nothing about makeup!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very cool & interesting!
ReplyDeleteSeems like it was a lovely event! Being an Indian, I'm familiar with some of these natural beauty remedies, as you all know India is all about natural, holistic and ayurvedic beauty remedies, but I really do not implement them in daily life!! I used to drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice and a dash of honey in the morning, on empty stomach, but anything routine does not appeal to me, and I stopped after a few days. But it is actually very good for the body and your skin!
